Stanley Master Series
It’s rewarding to see core77’s online review of the Stanley Master Series line, particularly the comments around our user focused features. I’m very proud of the well deserved recognition the team is receiving for this family of products!
Stanley Classic Flask
This was the Stanley brand’s initial product in the spirits space. It’s resulting success inspired the brand to grow into the beer category, and then expanding the spirits and beer family to include cocktail sets, pints, growlers and a collection of flasks.
The original flask carries on the usability and usefulness of the Stanley brand by having a wider opening, which makes refilling easy and eliminates the need for a funnel, and incorporates an asymmetrical profile that makes it comfortable to pack, hold and carry.
Stanley One Hand Hot Mug
Stanley’s original self sealing, push-to-drink mug. Designed to be packable and leakproof, the concept of sealing the mug from the inside uses thermal pressure created by the hot contents to increase the sealing strength at the drink hole.
This product has spawned multiple generations, leading us to improve the mechanism with each iteration.
A knife, fork and spoon packaged in a translucent polypropylene carrying case.
The case is made up of a front and back shell and snaps together. Completely dishwasher safe and acts as the packaging for the product. The living hinge at the top of the case included a finger-sized carry loop that would perform as a hanger for retail display, and the utensils are stainless steel with plastic handles. This item saw limited production and was never released into the market for a variety of unfortunate reasons.
Stanley Ultra Bottle
An update of the evergreen 1.1 quart Classic bottle, this item includes a number of upgrades to the original.
Updating the insulating technology allowed us to add capacity while maintaining the existing external silhouette. We also included a larger capacity cup on the top, and created a new, improved pour through stopper.
The updated handle offers an alternative to the Classic solution. Updating the d-ring attachments in favor of the indexing hinges provides a quieter storage option, while providing a more stable experience when pouring from the bottle.
Stanley Plastic Water Bottle
Intuitive and easy to use, the closure mechanism of this lid provides a novel method of combining a carry loop and lid closure. The ball joint hinge, which was inspired by one of the many Lego play sessions with my kids, creates an engaging 'fiddle factor' .
A set of collapsible containers, this collection included multiple sizes of sealed containers, a steamer set, as well as a salad container system. It was a lot of fun to see these placed in the MoMA store, and to see my name printed along with the description.
Aladdin Senja Collection
10+ years in the market place, this was the first collection of products for Aladdin. These have received numerous CMF treatments over the years, as well as a couple of small tweaks.
Originally proposed to an OEM client, this product was focused on the ability to steep tea on the go. The lever on the outside lifts and drops the infuser basket at the underside of the lid. This allows the user to control the steeping of their tea without having to handle a wet tea bag or string in the process. The basket size and screen provide for the steeping of bagged or loose leaf tea.
We created versions for both the Aladdin and Stanley brands.
Four of these remotes were bundled with a set top box that would provide programming to 4 discrete television sets throughout the home. Each remote came with a pair of double-sided, color-coded keys. The UI of each television output was color coded to match the colored keys. The user would simply insert the matching key into the remote and be able to control the Dish Network programming on that television set.
